For your first visit, I would appreciate if you could arrive a little early for your appointment. This allows me to have a chance to get to know you, and have you fill out our patient cards and forms. Although I understand that sometimes things happen, I would ask you try to be on time. I work very hard to always be on schedule for my patients, and your time with me is important. I would not want you to lose out on your appointment time.
During your first visit I will perform an initial consultation, and address any concerns you may have with your skin. In terms of how the appointment progresses, it really changes from patient to patient. Whatever your goal is as a patient, we will work toward it together.
Your Privacy
I offer my clients complete confidentiality. What you say during your appointment, as well as your records will both be protected under this statement. I understand that often times the subject of skin can be a sensitive one, and I will always honor your privacy. If you have any other concerns, I have detailed policies available at my office for you to have a look at.
Treatment of Children and Adolescents
While I am more than happy to perform services and consultations on children and adolescents, those under the age of 18 should come with a parent. Bringing a parent will ensure proper home care, as well as an understanding of any skin care diagnosis.
Insurance
James Hu MD accepts many types of insurances; however, please call prior to your appointment if you are unsure whether your insurance is accepted or not. Also, if you are concerned about whether or not your insurance covers the services offered, please call your insurance provider beforehand to double check. Please bring all your information with you (insurance card, photo ID, etc.) when you come to your appointment.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact me. I look forward to helping with you with anything I can.
